For many Christians, The Babylon Bee has become a source of great amusement, providing humorous commentary on Christian and cultural phenomena. For other Christians, it has been confusing and a source of ire and angst, but only until they realize it isn't serious – it's satire. But even with satire, it's like they say, there is always some truth behind every joke. So, too, there is always some truth behind sarcasm and satire. That’s what makes us smirk or raise our eyebrows.

Living in a society that does not live or make laws according to a standard of “absolutes,” we end up just making things up as we go... We have no sense of how to connect our past with the present or to understand the far-reaching implications of our decisions for the future. While our government promotes life by requiring masks and social distancing but continues to permit the killing of the unborn.
Our American society is more cognizant than perhaps ever of the equal value of human life, regardless of race, ethnicity, or skin color, yet we cannot see the equality and value of a human life inside the womb. George Floyd cried out for his mother while his life leaked away. It was excruciating to see and hear. Equally excruciating is the thought of how many babies in the womb have cried out for their mothers as their frail bodies have been sucked up into a machine.
These are the issues of our time. We can’t see the forest for the trees. I hope we will all wake up to see ALL the issues and address them according to the absolute truth of the ancient text that continues to breathe life into every person who will receive it—the good news of Jesus revealed in the Bible.
